hockney9948997.jpgJoyce Valenza, of School Library Journal, has linked to heaps of visual tools. In Part 1: Flagrant Disregard’s Flickr tools for creating book covers and movie posters, Spell with Flickr, Graffiti Creator and comic strip generator ToonDoo.
My favourite by far is the Hockneyizer, where you can create a unique photo collage in the style of British  artist David Hockney.

Hi Cindy - another very nice (but not free) piece of software is Photo Presenter - some great features similar to the Hockneyizer effect but for slideshows from your iPhoto library - nice export feature to quicktime, iWeb, screensavers etc. No great educational value but very cool (which we all need occasionally)
